Visa's Network marketing team was looking for an interactive way of teaching their customers about the different services offered while imparting the secure and reliable nature of their network. Helios programmed multiple interfaces and interactive elements with organic yet cohesive UX devices that highlighted the various attributes and connections between the offerings. Hardware and software solutions were engineered and installed at Visa’s Headquarters by our team.

Emirates was looking for a unique way to engage attendees of the 2012 US Open. Helios built a ‘Ball Flight Simulator’, a gesture-driven digital experience that encouraged participants to ‘serve’ a tennis ball and then guide it’s flight around the globe, landing on an Emirates Destination. At the culmination of the experience, the user’s photo was taken in front of a postcard image of the destination, and sent to them to share via various social media platforms.

Salesforce wanted to create an interactive piece to engage the attendees of Dreamforce 2010, 2011, and 2012. Helios built a variety of touchscreen applications on giant iPhone and Android-like devices to show off the Salesforce mobile experience, including a presentation mode for brand ambasadors. The touchscreen interaction was a unique way to illustrate a functionality that traditionally occurs on a small screen (a mobile device) to a large audience.

Bally Total Fitness was searching for a hygienic, information-driven experience to new and existing members up at flagship locations. Helios built an application that allows attendees to control a video wall through their motions and movement. A cursor driven UI is used to navigate four different applications including nutritional information, a virtual trainer, and a personalized visualization tool.

Arnold and Panasonic were looking to integrate their celebrity partner, US Men’s Tennis Pro Mardy Fish, into an experience to delight attendees. Helios built an Augmented Reality (AR) photo experience: consumers would see themselves on screen where an image of Mardy would ‘magically’ appear next to them and pose for a candid photo. The photos were posted to Panasonic’s Facebook page and individually shared with participants.

Helios created several fun and informative games that allowed attendees to learn about the McDonald’s approach to technology, design and social media. The Multitouch games ranged from a moderated “game show” style to a self-guided discovery application. A CMS driven mobile app allowed brand ambassadors access to product information, marketing materials, and manuals for global McDonalds menu items.

Kellogg’s wanted to provide consumers access to three exclusive clips from the Amazing Spider Man™ movie in order to drive purchases of their products. Helios built an Augmented Reality mobile application that was integrated into various Kellogg’s breakfast packaging. Consumers would then use their ‘Spidey Sense’ (and the camera on their smart phone) to launch the exclusive video content, trailer, and links to special offers.

Macy’s was looking to create a unique experience in the storefront windows of their Herald Square location. Helios built a photo opp using facial recognition to trigger interactive – iconic balloons appearing around their head, and an animated parade ticker. A countdown began and the user’s photo taken and uploaded to Macy’s Facebook page. The project had over 20,000 photos taken and 70,000 participants in 28 days.
